Meet Your Captain

Keith Carter | Local Angler. Veteran. Family Man.

Fishing isn’t just something I do — it’s something I’ve always done. I’ve spent my life chasing fish from the creeks of the Carolinas to competitive king mackerel tournaments.

I started guiding because I wanted to give other people the chance to experience the outdoors the way I grew up with it — quiet, focused, rewarding. My charters are about keeping it small and personal. I’ll show you how to fish, when to cast, and where to look. And if it’s your first time? Even better.

What It’s Like Fishing Mount Pleasant

Fishing around Mount Pleasant is like having access to three distinct fisheries — all within striking distance.

Inshore, we’re talking skinny creeks, oyster banks, and grassy marshes where redfish tail in shallow water and trout hit live bait under popping corks. Sheepshead tuck into structure and bridge pilings, while flounder slide into sandy pockets and creek mouths. It’s a playground for light tackle fishing and a great option year-round.

Step out to the nearshore reefs and you’ll find cobia cruising the surface, Spanish and king mackerel pushing bait balls, and black seabass stacked on structure. When conditions are right, we drop down for snapper and take our shots at spadefish and triggers.

Offshore runs are where it heats up. We’re talking hard-pulling kings, seasonal dolphin (mahi), and deepwater snapper species when the regulations allow. It’s action-packed and changes fast depending on the currents, bait, and water temp.
No matter the trip, Capt. Keith reads the water like a local — because he is one. If it’s biting, we’ll find it.
